Because it's hard to find sometimes in the sea of BREAST CANCER PINK!!!!!!
I thought it would be good to have a listing of the awareness colors and awareness months for the gynecological cancers.
The colors are represented by the ribbons in the logo (as found through the Foundation for Women's Cancer-the ONLY place I could find the colors for vaginal, vulvar and cervical cancer!!)
And the awareness months are as follows:
January: Cervical Cancer (dark pink)
September: Gynecological Cancer (purple), Uterine Cancer (peach), Ovarian Cancer (teal), Vaginal (blue) and Vulvar (lavendar).
Technically Cervical IS included in the September list, but for some reason Cancer.org has an additional "Cervical Cancer Awareness WEEK" in January
Additionally, most places represent Vaginal/Vulvar/ and Cervical cancer under either the purple or teal (teal and white for cervical) "banner." But personally, I think they deserve their own independent colors, and it appears the Foundation for Women's Cancer agrees. I'm happy to continue using their representational colors.
